The concept of corrective exercise explores new paths to create positive changes that are focused on maintaining functional movement patterns.
Functional Movement Assessments determine wether an individual lost the movement/mobility or have they only forgotten a pattern they once had. Corrective exercise is a strategic action to bring back lost movement memory.
This involves using the hands or the use of a hand-held instruments to reduce pain and gain mobility. It is used with a goal towards easing discomfort and helping stiff joints and muscle to move freely again. It can involve: stretching, massaging, rolling, scraping, mobilizing, cupping, vibrating, shaking, and application of heat, herbs, or cold.
